Jesus: Son of God – John 1:14-18
If you’ve ever tried standing in the strong current of a river you’ve sensed what it’s like to experience something more powerful than yourself. For every believer in and follower of Jesus the powerful truth that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” should be an experience like that, only greater. Jesus came, fully God, and took on humanity not just to visit, but dwell among us, full of grace and truth. Follow along with this sermon from John 1:14-18 as we discover how through faith in Jesus — the one who reveals the Father — we receive God’s “grace upon grace,” providing us with the fullness we need to stand firm in life and to live for his glory.
Jesus: The Light – John 1:4-13
Why does the darkness of sin reject the light of truth? Sin hates being exposed by the truth. In this sermon from the Gospel of John, we find a second name for Jesus: The Light. He overcomes the darkness of sin. He has been rejected by many for centuries, but all who believe in Him become children of God who experience the true light of life. Follow along now with this sermon from John 1:4-13.
Jesus: the Word – John 1:1-3
In this new sermon series on the Gospel of John, we discover that Jesus is the living Word of God, revealing the heart and mind of God to us. Far more than a wise leader, Jesus is the eternal Son of God, existing before creation, fully divine, and the creator of all things. We must understand who Jesus is to have strengthened faith and witness. Join us as we begin this series by considering John 1:1-3.
