When you read your Bible, you discover that God doesn’t work the way we would. In John 7:1-9, Jesus’ own brothers press Him to make a big splash at the Feast of Booths, show your power, get some followers, but Scripture is clear: not even His brothers believed in Him. Jesus’ answer, “My time has not yet come,” reveals a Savior fully submitted to the Father’s timetable, not to the world’s pressure for popularity. This message calls us to examine ourselves, are we truly believers, or just familiar with Jesus, and to learn from Christ to trust and obey God’s Word above our own ways.
